André Comploi

Biography
Born in 1982 in Al Plan de Mareo, South Tyrol, Italy, André Comploi is a versatile figure in the fields of music, theatre and science. He currently lives and works in Milan.
André graduated with honours from the University of Vienna in Musicology and Theatre Studies, and with a commendation in Sacred Music from the Conservatory.
From 2006 to 2020, he worked at the Vienna State Opera, including ten years as Chief Press Officer. In March 2020, André began a new chapter in his career as Artistic Coordinator at the prestigious Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
In addition to his professional commitments, André shares his knowledge with students at the Universities of Vienna and Bolzano. He has contributed to several publications on Ladin music and theatre. He has been a member of the jury for several international music competitions. He is also a member of the University Council of the Free University of Bolzano and of the Board of Opera Europa.
André Comploi also works as a choirmaster, has directed numerous music and theatre projects and frequently gives international lectures and masterclasses. He is married and a father of two sons.

VOICE COMPETITION 2024
ONLINE RECITAL
(MAX. 40 CANDIDATES / 25-30 MINUTES)
Candidates selected to participate in the Voice Competition 2024 have until July 2nd to submit their video recordings of the online recital, which must include:
- 2 opera arias
- 1 oratorio aria / sacred music
- 2 Lieder / songs
The online recital will be broadast on our YouTube Channel and website from 2-8 September. Semi-finalists will be announced on September 10th.
NB: The works chosen must be from three different periods and in three different languages. At least one work must have been composed after 1950. The recital should not exceed 30 minutes including stage entrances/exits and possible pauses.
